September 29, 2011 THURSDAY
Have you ever thought about how lucky you are? Well, I did... Today I woke up from a nightmare and sat up, I looked around my room at my bed, my closet, my books, my clothes, my table, my laptop, and then at myself... I suddenly felt that I was really lucky to be born, especially lucky to be born in a happy family with a working brain and body... I imagined how hard my life would be if I had no money, no shelter, no food, no parents, no arms/legs, or if I was deaf, blind, and couldn't express my feelings with words coming out of my mouth. I looked around me and thought that I had everything, I had a bed, I had food, I had parents, and everything else that I need. Today I thought that I was really lucky that I didn't need to work everyday at places to survive, didn't need to worry everyday just for food and shelter, didn't need to worry about freezing in the cold, and that I had money to go to such a school. I saw all this as a note from god, and for me, it's telling us to be thankful of what you have, make good use of the luck that god gave us, and thank our parents for raising us from the moment we were born...

September 28, 2011 WEDNESDAY
I had just remembered that I have forgotten all about my journal last Sunday, which is the day before camp... I'm really surprised that I can forget such a thing, but I think it's because I was too excited that my grandma was coming to my house, and that camp was on the next day... So maybe those two thought took over my mind that night...
Anyways, today I just got back from my interesting (but wet) camp... I don't know why but today I am especially tired, right now my eyelids are about to close, and my vision is getting blurry... I feel like shutting down any second... Although I had a lot of ideas about camp to write in my journal when I was having dinner, I couldn't even remember one of the ideas right this second... Now I guess I don't have too much to say, and I really do apologize if I have some grammar and spelling mistakes here in my journal...

Have any of you ever watched your school teachers play basketball with the students? Well I watched my school teachers play basketball with us students today... This morning I was excited to come to school since we will watch teachers play against students in a basketball game.
When it was club time, we didn't have club, instead, we went upstairs to the roof where there's a basketball court. I sat beside the court and watched the game, there were games for girls, and games for boys, it was quite funny watching them play... Although most of the games were pretty fair, one of them wasn't, and it was middle school boys playing against both male and female teachers, that was the game where the teachers got points back from loosing the high school students, and it was also the game where the teachers bullied the students... There were also some funny things that happened in that game, well, my homeroom teacher Ms. Padachie went around bumping the students, and one of my classmates called Sean got bumped and went flying backwards onto the ground... But just then, I saw Sean looking super tiny dribbling the ball under, over, to the left, or to the right of teachers with lightning speed and scoring with an awesome jump shot.
Everything was not "really" exciting until the head of school went onto the court and started running around, she looked like she had gone nuts when the teachers team had scored, it was quite interesting and funny to watch...

September 21, 2011 WEDNESDAY
I had almost forgot to write my journal today, but I suddenly remembered it when I was about to go take a shower... Well, anyways... today was a boring day except that my mom bought me a new bag, although I was happy that I won't need to be carrying a broken bag to school, I was also kind of sad when I saw that it was purple...
Anyways, I think I should be thankful for getting a nice and big bag like that, so I'll just pretend that I like purple.
There's a little something that I thought was special today... well, today I was strangely forgetful, I did parts of my homework today when I got home, and thought that I was completely done, but when it was about 8:00, I suddenly realized that I was far from finishing, I also forgot to bring my water bottle to school this morning, and "almost" forgot to write my journal...
I think this is all I can say about my day in my journal, since I'm very forgetful today, I also can't remember any more special things or events that happened today...

September 20, 2011 TUESDAY
After a normal day of school, I went home, put my bag at the entrance of my door and took the things I needed onto my desk. After I was done with some of my homework assignments, I decided to put the ones I'm done back into my bag, so I went to the entrance of my door, took my bag, and headed again for my desk, but as I was walking there, I heard a SLAPPPP!!!! I looked behind me, and found my bag laying headless on the ground... the handle had broken off...
Now it's just a lonely soul without a head...
I dragged it around and tried to see if the pole of my bag could still go in, and turned out that it could, but when I tried to pull it back out, it wouldn't even budge... So I opened the zipper inside of my bag and held on to a round button and shook it upside down until it finally came out...
After this tragedy, I told my mom about my bag's broken head, she laughed and said she'll buy me another one soon... Right now I suppose I will be going to school dragging a handleless bag behind me for a couple of days until my mom buys me another one... Right now I'm also trying hard not to let the pole get in again since I'm not sure if it would come out safely the second time...

September 19, 2011 MONDAY
Today I felt extremely tired at school, and fought hard not to fall asleep. I don't usually get the sleeping germs during school hours, so you might wonder why I fought hard not to fall asleep today... Well, yesterday I woke up before 6:00 and went to I-Lan with my family and my dad's company, we had activities that required an extreme amount of energy. I would have been fine today if I had a good amount of sleep last night, but I didn't, we headed home at about 9:00 ~ 10:00 and arrived at about 11:00. I could have slept on the bus, but with sounds of snoring and the and the driver's bad driving skills, I couldn't sleep at all... Last night I slept at about 11:30, many people consider that time early for sleeping, but for me, it's pretty late since I usually sleep at 10:00. Well, the sleeping late and waking up early isn't really the main problem, the main problem was that I woke up several times during the night due to a continues nightmare...
Now I'm almost falling asleep, so I plan to finish my homework early today and sleep at 9:00 ~ 9:30...

September 18, 2011 SUNDAY
I woke up at 6 today and headed for I-Lan with my family and my dad’s company, it was a pain waking up that early, but it was all worth it when we had arrived. We arrived at a weird museum with old structures and potteries, it wasn’t too bad when we poked around the museum listening to Mr. Bagu’s story about I-Lan’s history, but it was awesome when we got to make muddy potteries, make clay models, watch extremely funny performances, and get quizzed about I-Lan’s history, there were even prizes given out to the winners of the quiz (I was one of them)! Although the museum part of the trip was nice, it was not the best of all… The best part of my trip was when we went to a farm and baked sweet potatoes and chicken, the part were we went to the river and searched for crabs, shrimps, and clams hiding was also nice. I caught tons of them! They swam all around in the bucket looking extremely worried, so I quickly put them all back into where they belong…
When it got late, we took the bus and went to the crowded night market, the shopping at the night market was great! I’ve never seen anything like that! It looked four times as big as the ones we see in Hsinchu! My family and I bought dozens of things, and it was a really exciting trip, but no trip is perfect, and there’s always a time where you’ll have to go home…
Right now I’m sitting in the bus, with my laptop on my lap, telling my story… It’s now about 10:00… I feel tired, but I also feel sad to leave…

September 17, 2011 SATURDAY
Today was a weird day for me... well, I usually wake up at 6:30~7:00 in the morning including both weekdays and weekends, but this morning I woke up at 11:30... I do not know why I woke up that late, it's not that I slept late since I slept at about 10:30, and I also didn't feel extremely tired when I went to bed the night before, so that's one of the reasons that I consider this day "weird"... Another weird feeling about my day was that I had a really nightmare that I knew was scary, but when I thought about what the dream was about, I had completely no idea.
The weirdest thing that happened today was that I kept having feelings about people following and hiding behind me, but every time I turned back to check, I see nothing and no one...

September 15, 2011 THURSDAY
I've noticed that everyday at school, people only have great reactions to two of the bells in a day, one is the bell that tells us to go line up for lunch, and one that opens the door to the cage and lets us out (which is the bell that tells us school's over). Today we had science class before lunch, and we all knew well enough to get things ready before the bell rings. (we will have to wait a long time in the lunch line if we don't hurry...) As the bell rang, I walked out of the classroom and got bumped by a student running to lunch at the speed of lightning, I shook my head and continued walking with Kathy to our lockers, but as I was about to reach my locker, another person ran right pass me almost running over me, so I decided that it was... the lunch rush... I imagined the people that bumped me as big tough wrestlers, but the thought later changed to a fright, so I shook it out of my mind... I've now decided that during the lunch rush everyday, I will have to be extremely careful to not let anyone run over me, bump me while they're running, or step on my new shoes... (If I have any new ones...)

September 14, 2011 WEDNESDAY
After another normal day of school today, I felt extremely hungry when I was on my way back home, so as soon as I got home, I looked all over the refrigerator, the shelves, and the tables for some snacks that can keep me going before it's time for dinner. All I found was milk, string cheese, moon cakes, some big tomatoes, and one last pack of lovely Oats 'n Honey flavored granola bars, so I teared off the wrappers as fast as I would and took a big bite, but I tasted something that made my tongue tickle, I looked at my granola bar and saw a hair sticking out of it!!!
I tried to pull it out but it wouldn't even budge... I really didn't want to waste that big chunk of yummy granola bars by throwing it away, so I wrapped it back in the wrappers, slammed it on the table, opened the wrapper again, took the loosen hair out of it, tried to forget all about the hair, and dumped them back into my mouth... As far as I know, the hair probably wasn't unwashed for a month since I didn't get sick, well, at least I hope that the hair was clean... XDD
If you're wondering what granola bars are, here's a picture of granola bars with different flavors...

September 13, 2011 TUESDAY
Today we had PE class in the park in front of our school, we gathered all our equipments for softball and went to the park, it was all quite fun and well until it was my turn to bat, it wasn't that I didn't like batting, it was just that when I was about to put on a helmet, I touched the sponge inside the helmet... it felt like a bunch of tissue papers soaked with water, I tried my best to avoid touching the sticky and sweaty sponge inside the helmet, but as soon as I put the helmet on, the sponge in the helmet started letting the sweat out, and onto my face... It was an absolute pain to have someone else's sweat dripping down my face, it felt terrible, it made me unable to concentrate on batting a running... All I wish now is that I will never use a helmet like that again...
