I woke up at 6 today and headed for I-Lan with my family and my dad’s company, it was a pain waking up that early, but it was all worth it when we had arrived. We arrived at a weird museum with old structures and potteries, it wasn’t too bad when we poked around the museum listening to Mr. Bagu’s story about I-Lan’s history, but it was awesome when we got to make muddy potteries, make clay models, watch extremely funny performances, and get quizzed about I-Lan’s history, there were even prizes given out to the winners of the quiz (I was one of them)! Although the museum part of the trip was nice, it was not the best of all… The best part of my trip was when we went to a farm and baked sweet potatoes and chicken, the part were we went to the river and searched for crabs, shrimps, and clams hiding was also nice. I caught tons of them! They swam all around in the bucket looking extremely worried, so I quickly put them all back into where they belong…
When it got late, we took the bus and went to the crowded night market, the shopping at the night market was great! I’ve never seen anything like that! It looked four times as big as the ones we see in Hsinchu! My family and I bought dozens of things, and it was a really exciting trip, but no trip is perfect, and there’s always a time where you’ll have to go home…
Right now I’m sitting in the bus, with my laptop on my lap, telling my story… It’s now about 10:00… I feel tired, but I also feel sad to leave…
